BEHAVIORAL COUNSELOR ASSESSOR – Full-time – Outpatient – Mon. – Fri. 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Nova is accepting applications for a full-time Behavioral Counselor Assessor.   The Behavioral Counselor Assessor provides evidence based assessment and treatment services to clients in the Nova Out-Patient, Aftercare, and Residential programs.  The Behavioral Counselor Assessor also provides groups in the Out-Patient program.  Candidate must be adept in diagnosing, possess a working knowledge of the DSM-V and proficient in report writing.  Candidate must be able to provide assessments in off-site locations such as hospital’s and jail settings. 

A Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in a related field or discipline is required (Counseling, Social Work or Psychology).   A State of OH license as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Social Worker is required.  Scope of practice to include working with Mental Health and Alcohol and Drug clients is indicated.  Must have a minimum of one year experience in the mental health and/or addictions working with a variety of client populations. Prior experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.  CPR and FA certification, a valid driver’s license with less than 6 points  is required.

Nova is accepting resumes for a full-time Receptionist Monday – Friday with extended hours three days a week to 7 p.m.  The Receptionist provides broad support to Nova’s Outpatient and Residential programs.  The Receptionist reports directly to the Intake Manager.  The Receptionist answers inquiries and provides information to the general public, customers, visitors, and other interested parties regarding Nova services and programs. 

Position Duties:
      • Operates a telephone system to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, and taking messages.
      • Responsible for scheduling therapy and doctor/nursing appointments in the outpatient program.
      • Greet persons entering the agency, determine nature and purpose of visit, and direct or escort them to specific destinations.
     • File, scan, and maintain records.
      • Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages and courier deliveries.
      • Provide information about Nova such as location, services provided, departments, and route incoming calls appropriately.
      • Transmit information or documents to customers using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
      • Responsible for the collection of client fees and documentation according to agency policy.
      • Other duties as assigned.

Nova is accepting resumes for a full-time Human Resource Assistant.  The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.  The HR Assistant assists in the recruitment process scheduling interview appointments; checking references, conducting orientation for new hires and maintaining filing of personnel records.  The HR Assistant ensures timely credentialing by monitoring renewal dates.  Notifies personnel when nearing expiration.  Monitors development and training activities and required immunizations on-going and annually. The ideal candidate is experienced in providing excellent customer service, is detail oriented, organized and consciousness of time.

Nova is accepting resumes/applications for a full-time Electronic Practice Billing Specialist position. This position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer. The Electronic Practice Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely submission of invoices for services rendered either manually or electronically from properly approved clinical documentation. Responsible for all follow-up activities (including claims corrections, resolving and re-submitting denied claims, calling, writing, etc.) in order to ensure the total amount due is received in a timely manner. The Electronic Practice Billing Specialist will collaborate with clinical managers and staff to ensure accurate service documentation and assist with resolving discrepancies as necessary. Responsible for maintaining complete and accurate records of invoices for all services billed. The ideal candidate is detailed oriented, skilled in data entry and fluent in medical insurance coding and terminology. Exceptional customer service skills, communication, and problem-solving skills are necessary.

A Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of experience working with electronic payment systems/electronic health record (Nextgen) is required. BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TECHNICIAN (BHT) – ALL SHIFTS - full and part-time hours available
Accepting resumes and applications for this position to support our Residential Programs located at 732 Beckman Street Dayton, OH 45410.

The BHT provides client monitoring and facilitates scheduled program activities in relation to client individualized treatment plan. Performs client checks by walking the unit accounting for client presence and to ensure safety of clients and unit. Participates in unit staff meetings and other treatment team activities as assigned by the Program or Shift Coordinator. The BHT performs administrative duties such as shift reports, daily census, maintenance of unit log, and filing clinical documentation in the client record. Observes and enforces compliance of agency policies and procedures and program rules. Reports any unusual occurrences or events that deviate from standard agency operation procedures to the Shift Coordinator in a timely manner. The BHT performs/supervises household duties as deemed necessary by the Coordinator.

Minimum Education/qualifications: A high school diploma/GED. A CDCA certification is required for 1st and 2nd shift positions.  Must have a valid OH driver license and points may not exceed six.  One year of experience working in the Alcohol/Drug and/or Mental Health field is preferred. CPR/FA Certification required within 30 days of hire. A TB test is required prior to working on the unit (will accept results if preformed in the past 12 months).

NURSE – LPN OR RN – PART-TIME as needed (PRN) 16-24 hrs per week
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) provides medication and physical/medical monitoring under the direction of the Nurse Manager and agency Chief Medical Officer.  The LPN or RN provides basic client care by making rounds on the unit and providing treatments such as; taking temperatures or blood pressures, and dressing wounds; measure and record clients' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration; observe clients, charting and reporting changes in client' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication and taking any necessary action, administer prescribed medications and note times and amounts on clients' medication log, administer TB tests to all residents and staff as required. Set up clients’ medications on a weekly basis (med-planners) and upon client intake.

Minimum one to three years of experience and a State of Ohio License as an LPN or RN required.  CPR/FA certification within 30 days of hire is required.  A negative screen for TB is required (will accept results within the past 12 months).  Nova residential programs operate 24/7.  Rotating shifts include weekends and holidays.
