ALL SUPPORT IS WELCOMED!
NOVA Behavioral Health is a private non-profit organization. The ADAMHS funding we receive along with a variety of contracts we hold, does cover our budgeted expenses. However as you well know, we have additional and seasonal expenses that receiving financial donations or specific items are more than welcomed. Listed below are some of the current requests.
NOVA Behavioral Health is a 501(c)(3) organization such that all donations either financial or in items are tax deductible. We will provide a letter documenting your donation for this purpose, if you wish.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of our business we are limited to donations of time and talent, however under certain circumstances, we can accept the support.
If you would like any additional information, or have items not listed, that you think would be supportive for our clientele, please contact David Nushcer at 253-1680 X204 or at dnushcer@novabh.org.
FINANCIAL DONATIONS
Financial donations of any amount are always appreciated. The donations may be designated for a specific purpose or allow us to determine the best use of the donation at that point in time. Some specific designations may include: client focused social activity, client focused holiday/seasonal activity; purchase of materials to support programming activities, purchase of unit activities, purchase of recovery related literature, beautification projects of our campuses.
ITEMS TO BE DONATED
Items that we would welcome are listed below. Please contact David Nushcer (dnushcer@novabh.org or 937-253-1680 X204) to make arrangements to drop off the items, and if possible we will pick them up. For items we are not going to use, we will share them with other non-profit organizations.
GROUP ACTIVITIES/PARTIES:
We plan many group activities and parties as related to the season. IF you would be interested in supporting these, please contact us. Examples of such would be movie/popcorn; Holiday craft projects; support of upcoming holiday parties for clients, as well as clients and their children.
CLOTHES FOR ADULT MEN AND WOMEN:
We maintain a very small amount of clothing as there are many other options to find support for client’s clothing. However during this cold weather season, it is wonderful to have slightly worn winter robes, pajamas, slippers, thermal wear, outer wear boots, coats, hats, scarves and gloves/mittens. Umbrellas are appreciated as well.
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS:
Typically we do not store household items, however, if you have furniture/items that would be helpful for someone to supplement their household, or support a start-up of a household, please let us know. We will identify with we have a current client who would benefit from this particular donation. These donations would be received at our facility, and the client would make the needed arrangements to pick them up.
PROGRAM SUPPLIES:
Through our programming for clients, and to support and plan sober leisure activities these items are welcomed: magazines for men and/or women; recovery related material, art and craft supplies including kits; games and puzzles that adults would enjoy; outdoor activities.
